We develop our operations on a long-term basis
Ubitec Oy was born from customer needs and the combined expertise of the founding partners in the early 2010s. The founding shareholders are still involved in the company’s operations to this day and are committed to moving operations forward in the long term.
In 2021, we joined the Finnish family-owned WEST Invest Group. Today, ownership is mainly divided between the founding partners and WEST Invest Group.
It is important for us to provide long-term and reliable service to our customers. We constantly develop our services together with our customers. Our company’s vision is to be the number one choice and most trusted partner for our customers.

Ubitec Oy and Sakutek Oy merge
In 2024, Ubitec Oy merged with Sakutek Oy, which was founded in 1996 and is part of the same group. From September 2024 onwards, the companies have operated under the common name Ubitec Oy. The combined number of employees is approximately 70.
The merger strengthens our position as an operator in the electrical automation industry. Together we can offer extensive experience, expertise and professionalism in the field of electrical engineering and automation under the same roof. We are now even better able to serve both small and large customers nationwide.

Timeline
2010–2011: Initial discussions on the business idea for Ubitec and building the co-founder team.
2012: Operations begin, first place in Youth Company Idea Competition.
2016–2017: Partner in bioproduct mill project of Metsä Fibre, Äänekoski, Finland.
2018–2019: Partner in ASV6Bio power plant project, Asnæsværket, Kalundborg, Denmark.
2019: Partner in founding Enico Oy.
2019–2020: Partner in WEIGK5 power plant project, WEIG Karton, Mayen, Germany.
2021: Moves to new location in Tampere, Finland.
2021: Ubitec becomes part of Päähöyry Group (WEST Invest Group Oy).
2021-2022: Instrumentation installations of Metsä Board’s new recovery boiler, Husum, Sweden.
2022-2023: Partner in bioproduct mill project of Metsä Fibre, Kemi, Finland.
2023: First BESS energy storage project.
2024: Merger with sister company Sakutek Oy. News release 16.9.2024.
